noun

The main area for viewing what is on the computer.

Enter or Return
noun

A key (button) on the right side of the keyboard used to move the cursor forward.

Exit
verb

To close a computer program when you are finished using it.

noun

Several rows of keys (buttons) with letters, numbers, and special characters used to type or to use a computer.
Example:

Left mouse button
noun

An area on the left side of the mouse which allows you to give commands (instructions) to the computer. The left button is the main mouse button. Most Apple (Macintosh) computers do not have a 2-button mouse. 

Maximize (a window)
verb

To make a window open to full size. You can maximize a window by clicking on the maximize button. To change the view back, click the maximize button again. It will change back. 

Minimize (a window)
verb

To hide a window without closing it. You can minimize a window by clicking on the minimize button. To view the minimized window, click minimize again. It will change back.

Mouse
noun

A small device connected to the computer with a wire. When you move the mouse with your hand, it gives commands to the computer.
Plural
: mice. Most PC computer mice have two buttons.
Apple (Macintosh) computers have a one-button mouse.

Right click
verb

To use the right mouse button.

An area on the right side of the mouse which allows you to give commands to the computer.

Screen
noun

The front part of the computer monitor that looks like a TV. It shows what is happening on the computer

noun

An area on the right side of a window for moving up and down (or left and right) on a page.

Select
verb

To choose a command or option from an area on the screen by clicking the mouse button.

Window
noun

A rectangular area on the computer screen. It usually has a title bar, menus and buttons at the top.
